Gandhinagar Hosts Momentous Summit as UAE President Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan Strengthens Ties with India.
Gandhinagar, the venue for the Vibrant Gujarat Global Summit 2024 at the Mahatma Mandir Convention and Exhibition Centre, witnessed a significant event as UAE President Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan addressed the gathering. His speech not only underscored the robust ties between the UAE and India but also highlighted the close bond with Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Following his address, Prime Minister Modi took to social media to praise President Al Nahyan, lauding his inspiring remarks. PM Modi shared on X, “My brother, His Highness Sheikh @MohamedBinZayed not only oversaw the @VibrantGujarat summit but also delivered an inspiring speech.”
In extending a warm welcome to President Al Nahyan, PM Modi referred to him as “my brother,” expressing gratitude for his visit. The heartfelt reception was captured in images showcasing the genuine embrace and friendly gestures exchanged between the two leaders at Ahmedabad airport.
Before the commencement of the Summit, the duo participated in a lively roadshow in Ahmedabad, where the enthusiastic welcome from the people reflected the anticipation surrounding the visit of PM Modi and President Al Nahyan.
Dignitaries such as Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel, External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar, National Security Advisor Ajit Doval, Foreign Secretary Vinay Mohan Kwatra, and other notable figures graced the occasion.
The visit saw India and the UAE strengthening their collaboration by signing multiple Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) across various sectors. Agreements encompassed areas such as renewable energy, healthcare projects, food park development, and initiatives for sustainable ports.
The tenth edition of the Vibrant Gujarat Global Summit, inaugurated in 2003 during PM Modi’s tenure as Chief Minister, is scheduled from January 10-12, 2024, under the theme ‘Gateway to the Future.’ This milestone edition, titled “20 Years of Vibrant Gujarat as the Summit of Success,” features participation from 34 partner countries and 16 partner organizations. Additionally, the Ministry of Development of North-Eastern Region aims to showcase investment opportunities in the North-Eastern regions, leveraging the platform provided by Vibrant Gujarat.
