Chauhan, a renowned Olympian and Asian Games Gold Medalist, as well as a retired Director of Sports for the Government of Uttar Pradesh, recently visited the University of Ladakh’s Leh campus.
During his visit, Chauhan praised the university for its efforts in organizing the tournament, emphasizing the significance of sports in student life. He encouraged the participants to strive for excellence both on and off the field.
“The spirit of sportsmanship and competition you demonstrate here today will benefit you in all areas of life,” Chauhan told the students. “I am genuinely impressed by the enthusiasm and talent on display, and I believe events like these are essential for developing future sports stars.”
The University of Ladakh expressed its appreciation for Chauhan’s visit, noting that his presence and motivational words had a significant impact on the students. The Inter-Department Volleyball Tournament has become a key event on the university’s sports calendar, promoting camaraderie and healthy competition among students.
