Dangal’s Emerging Star Passes Away at 19, Leaving Fans in Grief

Actress Suhani Bhatnagar, celebrated for her portrayal of Babita Kumari in the acclaimed Bollywood movie “Dangal,” has passed away at the age of 19. Her demise, which occurred while she was undergoing treatment at AIIMS Hospital in Faridabad, has left her fans and the industry in mourning. Suhani garnered widespread acclaim for her vibrant performances, particularly in her breakout role in “Dangal.”

Reports indicate that Suhani had been admitted to AIIMS for treatment related to a leg fracture she sustained. However, complications arose due to a reaction to medication, leading to fluid accumulation in her leg. Her funeral will take place at the Azraunda crematorium in Sector 15, Faridabad.

Suhani Bhatnagar began her journey in the film industry at the age of 11, making a striking debut in Aamir Khan’s “Dangal” as the young Babita Phogat. She received praise for her portrayal and became a memorable part of the film, even featuring in the popular song “Bapu Sehat Ke Liye Tu To Hanikarak Hai.” Notably, the adult version of Babita Phogat was played by actress Sanya Malhotra.

Despite her early success, Suhani remained humble and largely stayed away from the spotlight. While active on social media, she had not posted since November 2021. Her untimely passing at the age of 19 has sparked an outpouring of tributes, with her then-and-now photos circulating widely on social platforms, a testament to her impact and the fond memories she leaves behind.
