Anil Kapoor has always been known for choosing films that leave a lasting impact, and one such iconic film that has completed 33 years is Lamhe. Celebrating the milestone, the actor shared a collage of behind-the-scenes images on his social media, expressing his admiration for the film and its visionary director, Yash Chopra.

He wrote, “Collaborating with a visionary director like Yash Chopra ji was always about creating magic on screen, not just chasing numbers. For me, Lamhe was never just a film—it was an experience, a journey into emotions, and a testament to bold storytelling ahead of its time. To this day, I’m proud to say it remains one of his finest works, and I’m deeply honored to have been a part of it. Here’s to the unforgettable memories and the timeless legacy of Lamhe! #33YearsofLamhe.”

In Lamhe, Kapoor played Virendra Pratap Singh (Viren), a young NRI who falls in love with Pallavi, portrayed by Sridevi. Their love story takes a tragic turn when Pallavi dies in a car accident. Years later, Viren meets Pooja, Pallavi’s daughter (also played by Sridevi), and is drawn to her as she bears a striking resemblance to her mother. The film explores themes of love, fate, and guilt, with Viren’s emotional journey of growth and redemption at its core.

Kapoor’s standout performance in the film remains memorable, and he continues to take on roles that deeply resonate with audiences. This year has been remarkable for the actor, with the success of Fighter, his inclusion in the TIME100AI list, and an Emmy nomination for his role in The Night Manager. He also won an IIFA Award for his performance in Animal.

As Kapoor breaks new ground in his career, fans are eagerly awaiting his upcoming project Subedaar, his first collaboration with director Suresh Triveni.
