Aamir Khan Discusses His Desire for Companionship and the Challenges of Remarriage at 59

Actor Aamir Khan, known for keeping his private life out of the spotlight, has recently shifted focus to his family after dedicating himself to work for over three decades. In a recent 2.0 interview with actor Rhea Chakraborty, Aamir shared that he has grown closer to his children and maintains a warm, cordial relationship with both of his ex-wives, Reena Dutta and Kiran Rao. Despite their divorces, they remain integral parts of his life.

When Rhea asked Aamir about the evolving nature of marriage and whether she should consider it, he humorously remarked, “I’ve had two unsuccessful marriages, so don’t ask me for marriage advice.” He added, “I don’t like living alone; I need a partner. I’m not a loner; I enjoy companionship. I’m very close to both Reena and Kiran, and we function as one family. Life is unpredictable, so the success of marriage depends on the individuals involved.”

When questioned about the possibility of a third marriage, Aamir, at 59, responded, “I am 59 now; it seems difficult to consider marriage again. I have many relationships in my life now, and I’m very happy being with people who are close to me. I’m focusing on being a better person.”

Reflecting on the impact of the failure of Laal Singh Chaddha, Aamir spoke about his efforts to reinvent himself. On the professional front, he is looking forward to his upcoming project, Sitaare Zameen Par.
